What is Pilates?
Pilates is a series of exercises that was created by Joseph Pilates over 80 years ago.  The Pilates method of exercises develops a strong core, improves flexibility and overall strength, balance, and helps people really connect their bodies and their minds through movement.

Pilates leaves you feeling like you worked hard, focused on your body, but not drained after a workout.  It is great!

The beauty of Pilates is that you can do it anywhere!  A well-equipped Pilates studio has the specialized Pilates equipment (Reformers, Wunda Chair, Cadillac, and more), but you can also do the exercises on a mat.  Pilates exercises can be adapted to the Fitness Ball, foam roller, Bosu, and more!
