Pilates
What is Pilates?
Pilates is a form of exercise that focuses on developing the "core", or "powerhouse".  A pilates session will give you a great workout while addressing your body alignment, posture, core strength, flexibility, and centering.

Pilates is traditionally done on special equipment at a Pilates studio, but also is practiced without the equipment on the mat.

Why is it so great?  Pilates really ought to be a fundamental part of everyone's exercise program.  It enhances any other physical activity, therefore, is great cross-training.  Alone, it is also valuable in building the basics for good posture, strength, flexibility, balance, and a mind-body connection.

Sue teaches Pilates at Young Pilates Studio on Queen Anne.  Young Pilates Studio is equipped with an array of Pilates equipment. 


In addition, Sue teaches Pilates mat classes at Outrageously Fit Personal Training Studio in Ballard.
